About Julie

In 1983, Julie began her art studies in London and later graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Glass from the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham. Her creations are profoundly influenced by her personal resilience. After losing her sight and much of her hearing to meningococcal meningitis at the age of 42, she persevered in her craft, innovating new techniques for working with kiln-formed glass.

Her artworks feature vibrant patterns, careful layering, and distinctive energy which capitalise on the transparent quality of glass. Her designs are often inspired by her memories and her passion for travel and story telling.

With the help of an assistant, Julie curated a portfolio of sculptural and architectural pieces that exemplify both technical expertise and emotional depth.

Julie has taught workshops and exhibited Internationally and in the UK . For details of any workshops or exhibitions please check her social media or feel free to contact her directly
