Julie has lectured in principles of design and demonstrated and taught workshops both internationally and in the U.K. The students have been both glass enthusiasts as well as newcomers to the medium of glass.
In most cases, the participants are encouraged to make some glass which is then fired in her kiln before being collected by participants.
She feels that by teaching a visual subject as a blind person, she offers a perspective and methods of working that are unique and will challenge people.
